TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Welcome to the Wedding Rings UK t/a DB Creations Terms and Conditions which apply to both the use of this website and/or when placing an order.

Use of this website indicates that you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions regardless of whether you choose to register or order from us. If you do not accept these terms, please do not use this website.

Website Images

Here at Wedding Rings UK, we have spent a great deal of time to bring you highly detailed images of our rings. These high-quality images can vary depending on your computer screen settings and limitations. We therefore cannot guarantee product images are an absolute representation of our actual rings. Product images have been magnified and products shown are not actual size. Any concerns then please contact our customer service team, who will be happy to discuss your requirements with you.

Hallmarks

All of our precious metal rings (gold and platinum) are hallmarked by an independent British Assay Office in Birmingham, Sheffield or London.

Special Sizes

Most of our rings are offered in size F – Z however if you require half sizes please contact our customer service team, who will be happy to discuss your requirements with you. Men’s rings are also available sizes Z+1 to Z+4 upon request and you can contact us on 0113 278 7694 or by emailing bespokecreations@hotmail.co.uk.

Engraving

Having a state-of-the-art laser engraver, we are capable of engraving any names, dates, messages etc within the space permitted on the item. Please place your request by contacting us on 0113 278 7694 or by emailing bespokecreations@hotmail.co.uk.

Due to the personalised nature, we cannot fulfil any return enquiries, as a personalised engraved item will be difficult for us to re-sell.

Prices

We endeavour to ensure that all our prices are clearly displayed and that there are no hidden extras. The final amount payable will always be shown at the check-out before payment is made. By placing an order throughout website, you are offering to buy the ring at that price. In the event of human error or malfunction in our website technology, the prices on the site do not commit us to a sale. In the event of a customer having purchased an item online at the incorrect price, we reserve the right to return the amount paid in full and cancel the purchase.

Please note that discount vouchers cannot be used with sale items or sample orders. In the event that a voucher code is used for a sale item, your order may be cancelled.

We change our loyalty reward codes regularly and cannot be held responsible for the expiration of a discount code found online. Only one discount code can be used for each order. Discounts cannot be used together in conjunction with cashback sites like Quidco and Top Cashback.

Price Matching

For the WEDDING RINGS UK price match to apply the product must be identical.

- For wedding rings this means the same width, depth, profile, metal, colour weight and finish.

- For diamond rings this means the same ring design and the same diamond quality. Diamond quality means the same colour, clarity, cut and weight. Also, the same grade of polish, symmetry and fluorescence.

- The item being matched must be for sale in the UK and in GBP.

Price matching will not apply where the alternative supplier is in administration or closing down, or the item is damaged, pre-owned, or in a sale or promotion.

Please provide the following information as you will be asked a few questions to verify your claim:

1. The website link proving the product specification and price in GBP.

2. If the weblink is not available please supply official documentation from the competitor proving the product specification and price in GBP.

If we confirm that the product is being offered at a lower retail price, and that it meets our price match criteria, we will beat that price.

We will supply the identical product at the agreed lower price. Or if you have already purchased from us, the difference will be returned by the original method of payment and is non-transferrable. A claim must be made within seven days of purchase.

 

Making a Purchase

Most of our products are handmade so we aim to deliver in 4 weeks from the date of order unless another date is agreed and noted on your order. If you choose to delay delivery until a specified date this should be agreed by contacting us and we will aim to despatch the item on the agreed date.

All measurements shown are approximate and prices are Pounds Sterling and include VAT at the prevailing rate.

We accept credit card payments from Mastercard and VISA, and these are verified by Mastercard Secure Code and Verified by VISA. We also accept American Express and Debit Cards.

You may send your credit/debit card information via phone, mail or over the internet.

We accept orders on the website from both the UK and EU/International orders.

Cooling off period, cancellations and refunds

If your ring(s) are not as ordered due to a fault in manufacture, or they do not fit please let us know within 7 days and we will ask you to return the ring(s) to DB Creations PO Box 364, Moortown, Leeds LS17 1TZ by Royal Mail Special Delivery. We will then rectify the problem, remake, or resize the ring(s). You will also be entitled to request reimbursement for postal costs if we are unable to rectify the problem.

We offer a cooling off period so you can cancel your order and/or return your ring(s) up to 14 days from the date of despatch or collection if it is not as expected.

The item must be received back in its original condition, with all original documentation where applicable. Refunds and exchanges may be subject to fees where the item shows any evidence of wear and tear and we reserve the right to not accept an item back for refund or exchange if it shows excessive wear and tear (even within the 30 day returns policy).
Items will not be accepted back for refund or exchange where there is evidence that a 3rd party has worked on the item. Bespoke orders, laser engraved items and shaped rings are non-returnable. Refunds and exchanges will not be authorised for these items. Should we agree to accept items back under exceptional circumstances, they will usually be subject to administration/re-stocking charges. Statutory rights are not affected. We will also not refund if it is evident that more than one ring was purchased with the express intention of choosing between them and returning one for a refund (see below).

Refunds will be made by the original method of payment.

In some cases, we will contact you before we manufacture a ring, to discuss what we can do to ensure the ring will be suitable and therefore not returned. This is especially likely if the item is of high value, e.g., a full eternity ring

 

 

Exchanges

We are willing to exchange one standard item for another, plus or minus any price difference and P&P, as long as the ring is received back, and the exchange details are finalised within 14 days from when the first ring was dispatched. A standard item is any item available from our website which has not been customised in any way. Bespoke jewellery, engraved items or special orders can only be exchanged at our discretion and subject to any agreed charges. If you simply want the same item but with a different size, please see the ring resizing procedure. Please also note that we will not exchange or replace rings that have been damaged by the wearer.

Lifetime Guarantee

We guarantee our rings for life against faulty manufacture but not normal wear and tear or damage resulting from accident, alteration, misuse or abuse. Any guarantees that we offer will be voided if you allow a third party to work on a ring that we have made for you.

However, we will clean and re-polish or re-matt any ring we supply for £20 plus postage at any time in the future if you contact our customer service by email: bespokecreations@hotmail.co.uk.

You will be asked to return the ring(s) to our partner Outwork Jewellery Services Ltd, Elton House, 5 Powell Street, Birmingham B1 3DH in suitable packaging, by Royal Mail Special Delivery, with full details of your requirements and contact details enclosed. You should retain the Post Office receipt as proof of despatch and for tracking purposes.

We strongly advise you to insure all high-value items, especially those with diamonds. We will not replace a dislodged or lost diamond free of charge, unless within three months of the date we despatched the item and due to a manufacturing fault.

Festive season

As we are aware that the jewellery we sell may be for gifts or seasonal weddings, we are happy to extend our normal returns period over Christmas. Items bought in December can therefore be returned up until 31st January. Normal exceptions to the returns policy apply.

Insurance

You will receive a full sales invoice for your purchase, which most insurance companies will accept as a valuation for the item.

We advise that all jewellery is insured against damage.

Third parties

Your guarantee and returns policy are invalidated if you allow a third party to resize or otherwise work on a piece of jewellery, we have made for you.

Weights

Each ring is unique, but you can contact our customer service team who will be happy to provide you with the metal weight. Rings will be considered as suitable if they are within an acceptable trade tolerance, i.e., if the weight is within 5% for items over 2 grams and within 0.2g for each item below 2 grams.

Delivery and ownership of goods

We aim to deliver your orders in 4 weeks from the date of order unless another date is agreed and noted on the order. If you choose to delay delivery until a specified date, we will aim to despatch the ring(s) for delivery on the agreed date which must be communicated and shown on the order.

Your ring(s) will be delivered by Royal Mail Special Delivery (next day) service, usually on a Saturday morning, as most customers find this more convenient with 95% of rings sent on Friday arriving on Saturday before 1pm. Delivery must be arranged for other days if required.

We are not responsible for delays caused by external delivery companies such as Royal Mail although we do everything, we can to ensure prompt delivery of your ring(s). We aim to inform you by email or phone before despatch.

Royal Mail Special Delivery means that items sent by us are fully insured until delivered and signed for. After that they are the customer's responsibility. We strongly advise customers to use this service in the event of sending any valuable items in the post either to us or any third party. Recorded delivery should not be used for sending jewellery.

If you require your purchased goods to be delivered by an alternative courier to that of the Royal Mail, you may be liable to an additional postage charge. We do not charge for sample packages being returned to us if they are lost, damaged or delayed where the correct postal service was used, and the sender has provided proof of posting.

Any item received by a customer without us first receiving full payment remains our property until all monies have been received.

Ring resizing

If you wish your ring to be resized, please contact us at bespokecreations@hotmail.co.uk letting us know your name, order number and the new size required.

Engraved rings cannot be resized or exchanged so please be sure of the size before ordering.

Resizing full eternity rings in some cases is not possible, so please contact us if you are not 100% sure of your ring size. The resizing of rings from the sale section will be agreed/charged on a case-by-case basis.

Plain rings to resize will typically cost £20 and decorative £25 with diamond set and eternity style rings dependant on design.

Wedding Rings UK use centre (not leading edge) measurement so if you think this will affect your choice of which size to order, please contact us for advice.

Please note your guarantee is invalidated if you allow a third party to work on the item that we have made for you. We are not liable to reimburse the cost if altered by a third party.

Definition of High Street

Throughout our website, where references are made to the 'High Street' or 'High Street stores' (in terms of a price comparison) our definition is as follows:

A shop located on the main street of a town or city. In specific relation to Jewellery based businesses, this is a shop which can be found across multiple towns or cities (chain store).

Deposit Payments

Deposits are non-refundable unless orders are cancelled within the statutory limits set out below or we cannot fulfil the order. Deposits should be agreed prior to placing the order, equivalent to 30% of the total order value. In the event that the deposit paid at the time of ordering is less than the 30%, we will not commence manufacture of the rings until payments are made to bring the amount received by us up to 30%.

Final payment for the balance will be taken from the same credit or debit card when the rings are ready for despatch. We aim to inform you in advance by email or phone that we are about to take the balance payment. Unless you call us to change the card details the payment will be taken within 24 hours.

If you pay the deposit by cash or bank transfer, we will inform you by email or phone that your ring(s) is(are) ready for despatch and request payment of the balance. This can be by electronic bank transfer or card payment.

If we are unable to contact you by email or phone to collect the balance payment, we will write to you. If the final balance is not paid within 60 days of you being informed that they are ready, the ring(s) will be disposed of and you will lose your deposit.
